I broke down and opened up the blinds today. I couldn't let this day pass by like so many others have, not when it's snowing.
I've come to the conclusion that I miss the snow. After living here almost 10 years, the snow we had this past week is the most I've seen since leaving home.
Granted, it doesn't come close to what I'm used to but it's a start.
Recently we were given a new-used stove. Our old one still worked, but you could tell it was well used and had its lil quirks like the oven not cooking food evenly anymore.
This new oven is self-cleaning. Sadly, I've come to realize that I'm a fool. I should've demanded one of these a long time ago!
No more spending hours being gassed out of the house while cleaning it with Easy-Off, which by the way was never so easy for me. No more raw hands from the chemicals. You just pull the lever and turn it on and then wipe it down with a dishrag.
